Callidus is proudly supporting Mental Health Awareness week. Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, this year’s theme is loneliness.
The pandemic brought loneliness to the fore and whilst life is now returning to normal, our behaviours, work patterns and habits have changed, meaning that people can often feel lonely in their everyday life. There is a clear link between loneliness and mental health issues, so we’re joining the Mental Health Foundation in raising awareness and asking for everyone to address loneliness together in their communities.
Today also marks a year since we introduced our coffee catch ups at Callidus. Something that started as an activity from last year’s campaign has now become a regular fixture in the Callidus calendar. It’s a great way for our colleagues to check in with each other without the formality of a meeting.
Naturally, being a consultancy means that we have a lot of remote workers, so a great focus for us this week is to remind our team about the tools we have available to connect as a team. We’re also reaching out to our colleagues to ask them to do something to help others combat loneliness, whether this be a cup of tea with an elderly neighbour or helping to support a local charity group that is helping to address loneliness on a bigger scale – if we all come together to help, we can make a real difference.
