Callidus has supported this year’s mental health awareness week with a week-long campaign to help increase understanding, support our colleagues, and inspire friends of our business.
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, the Mental Health Awareness Week theme this year was 'Nature' and how connecting with the natural world can support good mental health. Nature can be a huge comfort in times of stress, but can also increase our creativity, empathy, and natural curiosity.
Callidus places significant importance on the mental health of our colleagues. We actively encourage our teams to talk about mental health and have specially trained mental health first aiders at hand, as well as a free independent support service. We want to ensure that mental health is tackled in the right way with the right support, so supporting awareness weeks like this is incredibly important to us.
Our colleagues have embraced our activities and it was great to see our team sharing their thoughts to support the MIND ‘fight for mental health’ campaign. We have also been taking part in the Mental Health Foundation’s 30-minute challenge every day, see our picture for what our team got up to as part of their outdoor exercise. We hosted our very own outdoor virtual coffee break, which was a great way for our teams, who are based across the UK to informally catch up and we sent sunflower seeds to each colleague to remind them to sow a seed of conversation with their colleagues.
As corporate partners of MIND, we believe that everyone should have access to the right support and by promoting good mental health regularly we can raise the all-important awareness that is needed.
