We’re embarking on a big challenge in aid of MIND and in remembrance of a dear colleague. Our team wanted to do something special, so in true Callidus style, we decided to push ourselves to achieve something momentous, whilst raising money for an incredibly important cause.
Over three weeks from 9th August 2021, we will complete The Callidus Challenge, which consists of two fundraising events: Race to the Base, where our team will cover 1,585 miles (the total distance from our colleague’s home address/office address to the base of Pen Y Ghent), and Eleanor’s walk, a 694-metre hike up Pen Y Ghent in Yorkshire on 2nd September 2021.
We’re aiming to raise £1 per mile for MIND, a charity who campaign to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding of mental health.
If you would like to donate, you can do so on our just giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/the-callidus-challenge. Any support you can give would be hugely appreciated.
We will be updating our progress as we go, and you can follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter [Hyperlink to accounts], and by using the hashtags: #TheCallidusChallenge #Racetothebase #Eleanorswalk #wearecallidus
Steve Allcoat Managing Director said: “I am incredibly proud of our team for undertaking this challenge. For us, it’s not just about raising money, it’s about remembering a colleague who sadly we lost just over a year ago. We wanted to do something that celebrated her life, her passions, and her spirit.
“We would be incredibly appreciative of any support to help us get to our fundraising target of £1,585.
“Preparations are underway to begin the first part, Race to the Base and we’re excited to document our progress along the way. Don’t forget to follow us using our hashtags.”
