Steve founded Callidus in 2009 and has a wealth of leadership experience and health and safety knowledge. Steve is a chartered health and safety professional with over 25 years’ experience delivering strategic health and safety solutions to a wide range of industries.
Prior to establishing Callidus, Steve operated at Director level within a variety of consultancy organisations across a broad range of industries.
Steve specialises in Supply Chain Assurance and Performance Management and is respected in the industry, due to his proactive approach to delivering strategic health and safety solutions. Steve has experience of working on a variety of projects ranging from major national infrastructure programmes to global risk management strategies for major blue-chip clients.
Steve is passionate about achieving the best results for his clients and holds a high regard for his team. Collaboration is at the heart of everything he stands for and Callidus are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure success.
Steve Allcoat
Managing Director
Steve is a highly motivated, experienced leader with 15 years’ experience in strategic programme management. Steve is a chartered member of the Association for Project Management (APM), the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and is recognised for his expertise in developing leading teams, strategic business planning, project management and capital expenditure planning.
Prior to joining Callidus, Steve held senior positions across many large organisations in industries such as aviation, further education, and retail, delivering both simple and complex multi-million-pound schemes.
Strong leadership is a key driver for Steve, alongside adding value and always delivering the best outcome for the client. In his position as Managing Director, Steve is eager to drive sustainable growth, ensure excellence in customer service delivery and explore new target markets.
John Webster
Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
As part of the Executive Board, John leads the financial management of the company. John is a qualified chartered accountant with extensive experience in Director roles in property, health and safety, legal and travel sectors.
John began his career with Deloittes Nottingham and spent 10 years working as Finance Director before successfully running his own chartered accountancy practice for 15 years, focussing on providing internal accounting and board level financial oversight services.
John’s role includes managing the company’s financial function, production of financial management information and liaison with the company’s external professional advisers.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) in England and Wales, John specialises in corporate finance strategy, financial control, and business plans.
Daren Lawson
Associate Director - Head Of Health & Safety
Daren has been a Chartered Member of Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) since 2008 and is also an OSCHR registered health and safety consultant. Daren is a member of the Callidus Senior Management Team and is responsible for the Health and Safety arm of the business.
Daren has over 20 years’ experience in construction health and safety and six years’ experience in the high hazard process environment and is extremely knowledgeable in the provision of health and safety services to clients both small and large.
His experience includes assisting clients in all aspects of health and safety, including, principal designer role, CDMA advice, accident investigation, risk management, process mapping, systems development, legal compliance, and defence. Daren is a registered trainer with both C-Skills and IOSH.
Geoff Stewart
Associate Director - Head Of Asset Management
Geoff has over 23 years management experience and has a comprehensive understanding of Asset Management, having worked across many sectors including Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Retail, Facilities and Estates.
Being part of the Callidus Senior Management Team, Geoff brings with him a wealth of experience, along side sound management skills and is responsible for the Asset Management division.
Geoff consistently delivers service results and improved performance with considerable experience of construction, commercial, PFI/PPP, local Government commissioning, procurement options, change program management, project management, total facilities management, operational delivery and client focus.
This has enabled Geoff to be an effective manager and excellent communicator with a key specialism in addressing operational issues by delivering better value, enhanced performance and reducing risk.
Daniel Kilburn
Head of IT Solutions
Responsible for IT across Callidus, Daniel has over 12 years’ experience working in web design and development. Bringing extensive knowledge and practice of bespoke design, Daniel oversees all IT systems and web programmes ensuring innovative solutions are always available to our clients.
Louise Greenwood
Finance Manager
Louise is a highly experienced Finance Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day financial operation of Callidus, including accounts, payroll, financial control, year-end reporting and forecasting.
Recognised for delivering strategic analysis, solutions and management of financial performance, Louise has a strong track record in building sophisticated financial models and simplifying and automating complex processes.
Louise is a CIMA Qualified Accountant and has held senior positions in a number of large complex organisations throughout her career.
Sarah Lee
Executive Administrator
Sarah is a highly competent and reliable member of the Callidus team. Her responsibilities include providing support to the CEO and leadership team, human resources and responsibility for office organisation and procedures.
Sarah is a qualified fire marshal and mental health first aider and carries out internal audit on behalf of the company. Sarah is well known for being a team player and a quick problem solver.
Paul Robinson
Senior Consultant
Paul has over six years of experience in the health and safety sector and has completed the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. He has a background in Engineering and prior to joining Callidus, he worked in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineer and later as an installation project manager with the Ministry of Defence.
Since joining Callidus, Paul has worked predominantly in the construction sector delivering the role of CDMC and Principal Designer. Paul is highly capable and has a great deal of experience working with high profile clients such as, M&S, Asda, G4S and Sigma Group.
Tracey Leeson
Senior Consultant
Tracey is a highly competent Health and Safety Consultant who combines her health and safety knowledge with a broad depth of expertise in construction retail operations. Tracey is a member of the Association of Project Safety and IOSH and has five years’ experience in the Health and Safety Sector.
Tracey’s experience includes assisting clients in all aspects of health and safety, including Principal Designer, CDMA advice, accident investigation and risk management. Tracey is a self-motivated and proactive consultant, who has worked with large clients, such as, Sigma, Imagile, Kajima and various construction SME’s.
Kristian Welch
Senior Consultant
Kristian is a Technical Member of IOSH and member of the APS and has been incorporated into the Chartered Institute of Building. Having spent the first 10 years of his career working as a Project Coordinator, Kristian has a wealth of construction experience and has successfully undertaken Health & Safety advisory and Principal Designer roles on schemes more than £120m.
Kristian has over fourteen years’ experience in risk management gained across a variety of sectors and industries making him an ideal candidate to work on a broad range of projects. He is a passionate practitioner with a drive to work closely with the design and construction teams to develop strategies and solutions that will help deliver projects in the safest, efficient, and most cost-effective way.
Kristian has provided a full Principal Designer service for major clients across the higher education industry, County Councils, water and transport industries, National Trust and the NHS.
Kerri Grocock
Senior Consultant
With 20 years of experience working in the construction industry, specialising in new build, refurbishment and restoration projects, Kerri joins Callidus as Senior Health and Safety Consultant.
Kerri is competent in all aspects of health and safety management across large organisations and groups, including managing procedures, processes and systems and audits.
Bringing a wealth of experience in Health, Safety and Environment, Kerri is a highly qualified consultant with NVQ level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice and currently working towards level 6, GRADIOSH, NEBOSH Construction, IOSH Member including Working with Environmental Responsibilities and a skilled Mental Health first aider.
With a passion for promoting health and safety in the wider industry, Kerri is an active member of the Midland Construction Safety Association, where she assumes the role of Secretary and works closely with the Health and Safety Executive to promote ‘Working Well Together’ in the Midlands region.
Scott Martin
Senior Health and Safety Consultant
Scott is part of the Health and Safety team and has extensive experience in his field. Having worked in the manufacturing, construction, and installation industries for over 22 years, Scott is highly skilled in Health and Safety Management and is a qualified CITB Trainer, IOSH Tutor and NVQ Assessor.
Scott is a capable member of the team working across all Health and Safety disciplines, including Risk Management, implementation and management of Safety Management Systems and managing procedures, processes, and audits.
Scott is exceptionally qualified with a NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH General and Construction certificate and is a technical member of IOSH, IOSH accredited CDM Awareness, holding Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), IOSH accredited Site Management Health and Safety on site, in addition to other health and safety recognised qualifications.
Laura Stone
Project Manager
Laura joined Callidus in 2021, after a successful career in law. A member of the Association for Project Management (APM), Laura is working towards becoming a chartered Project Manager.
Having achieved NEBOSH General certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Laura is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Working across many sectors, including healthcare and retail, Laura will also be assisting with PFI/PPP and Health and Safety projects, as part of her role. Laura brings with her a wealth of skills including communication, leadership, time-management, and client relationship building.
Scott Elstone
Project Manager
Scott joins Callidus with vast experience in commercial and stakeholder management, having delivered various large-scale events and facilities in the sports industry.
Combining his experience in project management and relationship building has enabled Scott to establish a growing reputation in the industry. Bringing substantial commercial and communication skills, Scott will work across some of Callidus’ most significant client contracts.
Scott has a proven track record for managing processes and account management and is a solutions-driven team member.
Scott is working towards becoming a member of the Association for Project Management (APM) and Institute of Asset Management (IAM), in addition to studying to become a chartered Project Manager.
Karen Richardson
Health & Safety Project Co-ordinator
Karen is a professional, motivated, and highly experienced member of the team. Practiced in developing new systems and managing clients, Karen brings a wealth of skills to this new role.
Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and handling client queries, Karen is accountable for the effectiveness and client satisfaction through all Health and Safety Projects and Programmes.
Esme Sumpner
H&S Administrator
Esme supports the Health and Safety Co-ordinator with ensuring effective delivery of Health and Safety Projects and Programmes. Esme has experience in managing health and safety matters within construction and uses her skills in this area to directly respond to client needs. Esme holds many key H&S qualifications; including SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, UKATA, Face Fit Trained to Test, Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Marshal, COSHH, Abrasive Wheels and Working at Height.
Fehmeda Soni
Data Administration Assistant
Fehmeda is an experienced member of the Data Administration team having joined Callidus in 2018. Fehmeda is highly capable and has worked within the fire team, which forms part of the wider Health and Safety team.
Fehmeda specialises in using CAD software and has experience of working with high profile clients, such as M&S.
